Cogitact is a Melbourne, Australia based Information and Communications solutions provider and consultancy, committed to providing small to medium enterprises with first class Information Technology services with a human face. Key to providing the right solution is our ability to listen, and understand what the client needs to achieve.

Matt Waite established Cogitact after finding there was a need for quality IT services in the SME market that was not being met by larger providers. Matt has extensive experience both in IT support and systems management and customer support, obtained while managing the customer support department of Maintenance Systems Consolidated, themselves a service provider to industry heavyweights such as Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton, Woodside, Alcoa, Exxon Mobil, Bluescope Steel, Norske Skog, Carter Holt Harvey, Wesfarmers, Smorgon Steel, TruEnergy and many other manufacturers and primary producers. Matt managed the customer support department for almost 9 years, and prior to that managed the IT department at the Mental Health Research Institute, a government funded institute of 60 staff located in Parkville, Victoria.

Matt is committed to always provide the best value for money in the market, without compromise on quality and is committed to build systems based on brand-name components which are regarded as “industry-best”, brands such as Intel, IBM, Panasonic, Epson, Sony, Asus, Seagate, Dynalink, Creative Labs, to name just a few.

One of Matt’s areas of expertise is in design and implementation of networks ranging from 2 - 102 workstations using either Linux or Windows servers, as well as Web application design and hosting, and telephony services. Backed by Cybertel and DG Technology, Cogitact is able to offer its clients a comprehensive range of solutions to suit their needs and budget. Cogitact also partners with other small IT service providers such as Chirnside Systems and TKL Solutions to ensure that resources are available to ensure timely support at all times.

Another area of expertise is in design and implementation of web applications, such as content management systems, customer relationship management and Ecommerce solutions. This expertise has developed over years of developing in-house business management systems at Maintenance Systems Consolidated, as well as working on many customer web application projects both in Australia and overseas.

One of Cogitact’s key partners is BrandHOUSE, a design and branding company owned by Chris Waldron, specialising in Advertising, Branding design and illustration. The creative talents of BrandHOUSE complement the technical expertise of Cogitact and result in a powerful synergy that benefits both clients and their customers.
